Who among us has gone through 12+ years of public education free from the lame teacher captivity?
These posing professors of knowledge hold our fate within their grade reports. They can wreak havoc on our GPA records without consequence or provocation. Too many of these sorts seem to delight in boring students to death. They love to drone on and on, delighted by the monotony of their own voices, unconcerned with the sighs, groans, and lamentations from those poor wretches, the learners.
Yes, these teachers inspire, give offer nothing but misery and needless waste. These teachers can turn a beloved subject into a beastly burden. Why do these people go on? They suck the life and joy right out of the learning process by creating a Holocaust -Like ambiance within their industrial halls of 'learning'.
What training do they have to be teachers? The credential process is a complete and total joke. In my opinion, this seems like yet another way to screw it to the 'real teachers' while allowing the rascals into our classrooms. Does this program really help teachers be better teachers? Do students benefit from this extra year of wasted time and money? This program seems like little more than tedious waste of time. Paper pushing 101 for state and federal employees might be a better, more honest label. So this course work bears no distinction between good and bad teachers at all.
How might we separate the wheat from the chaff? Some people are great singers yet couldn't show anyone else how to do the same. Some people are lousy singers themselves while they produce roster after roster of accomplished, skilled singers from their classrooms.
My thought: How can we recruit and keep the best teachers teaching and rid ourselves of the worst? A shoddy teacher can poison an entire classroom. There's little or no warning for weary pupils. We just take our chances and try to survive the stings and pedagogical poisons.
